Guided tour: Turckheim, a medieval town - in French
Nestled in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, Turckheim is a small medieval city of character, charming for its heritage linked to the history of the vine. A former city of the Decapolis, come and discover its 3 imposing gates, witnesses of the old fortifications. You will be seduced by its civil monuments of the 17th and 18th centuries such as the Corps de Garde, the Town Hall, half-timbered houses typical of Alsatian architecture, the Sainte-Anne church with its Romanesque bell tower. The authentic song of the night watchman still resounds in the city from May to October during his rounds at 10 pm.
The tour is conducted in French - places are limited.
