Concert - Requiem by Gabriel Fauré -
The Ensemble Vocal du Pays de Thann, a mixed choir of around forty singers, presents a concert dedicated to composers who worked at the Madeleine Church in Paris as choir masters or organists. The main piece will be Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, in a version for a small instrumental ensemble (strings, harp, organ). Other works by Fauré, as well as Camille Saint-Saëns, Théodore Dubois and Achille Runner (born in Pfaffenheim), will complete the programme. Baritone Guillaume Frey will perform two pieces by Charles Koechlin, who was a pupil of Gabriel Fauré.
